New Models
It seems that most modellers find Lara Croft a great figure to work with.
Canadian fan
Alfred Wong, made the figure on the right:
"My son and I both love playing Tomb Raider, both 1 and 2. I like 2 better.
I scratch build detailed, high-quality scale models as a hobby and for
competition, specializing in aviation and science-fiction/fantasy subjects.
So, a model of Lara was a logical addition to my collection. The model is
in 1/6th scale, standing 11" tall. It was sculpted out of epoxy putty over
a wire armature. Lara is brandishing a pair of Uzis and has a harpoon gun
strapped to her back. She is on a base that has a small serpent statue and
there are a number of creepy-looking big spiders running about.
This model recently won a silver medal at the World Expo '98 figure competition held in
Toronto."
Nice work Alfred!
And from Germany (again...) came this other figure this time licensed by Eidos.
It is sculpted by Marc Klinnert (the kit on the pictures were build and painted by Christian Soeder).
It can be obtained from Marc's gallery and studio called
OXMOX. Unfortunately due to some production problems he decided to release it as an single figure kit
first. So you get the same Lara
figure on a very new sculpted base, the Dragon one, for DM 180.
